Following ITER Organization's announcement (see here), SIMIC is delighted to confirm its contribution, together with Ansaldo Nucleare, to the Vacuum Vessel Bevel Repair contract of 3 of the 9 sectors that will compose ITER Organization's fusion reactor.

SIMIC will be in charge of the engineering studies and qualifications required for the on-site operations, including metrology, reverse engineering, high technology weld build up and local machining necessary to bring the sectors to the requested tolerances.

The award of this contract is for SIMIC another important challenge in fusion energy field.
