We are proud to share that all five auxiliary cold boxes of the ITER Cryoplant have now been successfully installed and connected on-site.
These units are equipped with internal piping and super-insulation to achieve cryogenic temperatures. The Vacuum Vessels have been leaked tested, and the piping has undergone pressure testing.
SIMIC played a key role in this achievement by managing, on behalf of the system supplier, the manufacturing, integration and testing of the cold boxes at our facilities in Camerana.
This complex and demanding activity was completed on time and on budget, thanks to the expertise, precision, and dedication of our team and in close coordination with our customer.
Supporting the ITER mission towards clean and sustainable fusion energy is a challenge we’re proud to take on. This is more than engineering: it’s contribution to the future.
