Today, SIMIC took part in the Annual Meeting of the Italian Nuclear Association (AIN) in Rome, an event that clearly shows how the revival of sustainable nuclear energy in Italy requires not only strategic decisions, but also effective communication and active stakeholder engagement. During the session dedicated to the role of manufacturing, we, together with our colleagues from ATB, presented the vision of an Italian industrial sector with long-standing expertise in fusion and fission, and which sees the national nuclear program as a concrete driver for industrial growth, high-skilled employment, and technological export.

On Friday, November 21, the Internal Academy for Specialized Mechanical Operators came to a successful conclusion. It was an intensive 120-hour program, with both theoretical and practical lessons. We are happy to announce that the 4 participants have joined our team: two in the mechanical workshop and two in carpentry.

SIMIC is pleased to announce that, together with our partner Ansaldo Nucleare within the SIMANN consortium, we have successfully completed the repair of the bevel joint areas and the preparation of the fourth Vacuum Vessel Sector #4 of the ITER tokamak. The activities were carried out on-site at the ITER Organization facilities in Cadarache, France.

We are pleased to announce that SIMIC has been awarded a contract for the operation and maintenance of part of the cooling and ventilation systems supporting the CERN particle accelerators in Geneva.

Last week, SIMIC took part in the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the IAEA World Fusion Energy Group and the 30th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference (FEC2025) held in Chengdu, China — key global events shaping the future of fusion energy.
