We are pleased to announce that we participated, with the contribution of our colleague Andrea Baratta, in the roundtable organized by Consorzio RFX on March 27, dedicated to the topic “Business & Big Science: Public-Private Partnerships in the Field of Fusion Energy”, held the final workshop of the PNRR NEFERTARI project. The event was attended by colleagues from OCEM, SAES, ENI, and De Pretto, at the National Research Council (CNR) – Padua Research Area.
The event, dedicated to the future of industrial development in fusion energy, represented an important opportunity for dialogue among research institutions, universities, local authorities, and companies, with the aim of strengthening the link between scientific innovation and industrial application.
The discussion highlighted the strategic role of Public-Private Partnerships—and more broadly, all high-level collaborations between the public and private sectors—in fostering technology transfer and the development of a competitive industrial supply chain in the fusion sector, particularly considering current geopolitical circumstances.
SIMIC is proud to contribute to cutting-edge projects such as ITER, DTT, and SPARC, as well as to new initiatives in the field of fusion, by providing advanced expertise in the manufacturing of complex, high-precision components.
We would like to thank the organizers—especially Piergiorgio Sonato and Simone Peruzzo—and all participants for the stimulating and constructive exchange, and for creating a high-level networking environment among the key players in Italian Big Science.
