We are proud to share a new official video from ITER Organization showcasing ongoing activities at the Cadarache site in France, a place where the vision of a clean and inexhaustible energy source is turning into reality.
SIMIC plays a key role in this global challenge through 4 major ongoing contracts, which reflect our know-how and the trust that ITER, F4E and its international partners place in us:
Vacuum Vessel Bevel Repair (VVBR) – Together with Ansaldo Nucleare, we are in charge for the complex on-site repairs of Vacuum Vessel sectors 6, 7, 8, 1 and 4, working in full compliance with most stringent technical and quality requirements by ITER, ESPN and RCC-MR’s codes and standards.
Sector Modules Sub-Assembly (SMSA) – Leveraging our experience at the ITER site, SIMIC is supporting CNPE with the mechanical installation works, a crucial step for the accuracy of the entire Tokamak.
Sector Modules in PIT Assembly (SMPA) – SIMIC is part of the consortium with CNPE, CNI23, SWIP, ASIPP and Framatome, carrying out the assembly of the nine Vacuum Vessel sectors modules before their final welding inside the PIT.
Welding Preparation in PIT Assembly (WPP) – We execute with CNPE consortium all the preliminary activities required to ensure structural integrity, alignment and quality of the weld joints inside the reactor.
