The successful candidate will be assigned to the production area dedicated to welding activities on components intended for major industrial projects in the nuclear fusion sector. Reporting directly to the production manager, the candidate will be responsible for preparing components and performing TIG welding on stainless steel and special alloys, working in accordance with the technical and quality specifications required for high-precision systems and piping lines.
They will perform component assembly and tack welding, ensuring the proper preparation of joints and verifying the conformity of the work performed through visual and dimensional inspections. They will collaborate with the technical office and the quality department to ensure compliance with welding procedures and applicable standards (WPS, technical specifications, quality controls, etc.) within highly technical projects.
You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, isometric views, and manufacturing diagrams, reporting any critical issues or non-conformities encountered during production activities. You will also perform welding tests on various materials and thicknesses, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and the maintenance of the quality standards required by the project.
The role will also involve performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the production area and on construction sites.
Requirements:
- Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent;
- Previous experience in TIG welding, preferably on piping, structural steelwork, or industrial components;
- Knowledge of technical drawing, metallic materials, and the main welding techniques;
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings;
- Good manual dexterity, precision, and attention to the quality of workmanship;
- Ability to work independently, initiative, and a team player;
- Good problem-solving skills and adherence to safety regulations;
- Willingness to travel.
