At the FIA Supply Chain Trade Show in New Mexico, SIMIC’s Business Development Manager, Pierpaolo Bianchino, moderated the panel discussion “Building the Global Fusion Supply Chain: Can Industry Scale Fast Enough?“.
Bringing together representatives from the U.S. Department of Energy, Lowercarbon Capital, UKAEA, and Commonwealth Fusion Systems, the discussion focused on one of the key challenges facing fusion commercialization: developing a global industrial ecosystem capable of supporting multiple fusion projects simultaneously.
The panel highlighted the importance of supply chain readiness, investment confidence, skilled workforce development, and collaboration between governments, developers, and suppliers. A clear message emerged: the future of fusion will be built not only through scientific breakthroughs, but also through strong industrial partnerships and manufacturing capabilities.
